You have questions - we have answers.
Yes, due to the large number of requests I receive versus my limited amount of availability, my current minimum order is $500.00.
The price per serving is contingent upon the design and level of detail of your cake. During a consultation, we look at different design options in order to provide you with the perfect cake. On average, the cost per serving runs between $3.00 and $4.75.
No - sorry, I do not. Nor do I provide knives, forks or plates.
It's not just my opinion - That Takes The Cake! is well known for making the most beautiful, delicious and talked-about wedding cakes anywhere. If you care as much about how your cake tastes as you do how it looks - you've come to the right place.
Yes - you will be given a contract during the consultation. If you decide to use That Takes The Cake!, you'll need to sign and return the contract along with a deposit of 50% of the total cost. Total payment is due two weeks prior to wedding date.
Yes! They can be supplied by me or by your florist.
All of our cakes are placed on silver boards - but I highly suggest renting one of my silver cake plateaus. The rental of a plateau is only $25.00 - and adds so much to the beauty of your cake. There is a deposit of $100.00 - but you (of course) get that back once you return the plateau.
Absolutely - in fact, it's a rare wedding when I don't deliver both a Wedding Cake and a Groom's Cake.
Well, not really. But I have on occasion baked a special cake for a member of the wedding reception. I'm happy to do so, if it's in addition to a Wedding Cake. For example, on occasion I've been asked to bake a small cake for someone celebrating a birthday - or a gluten-free cake for someone special.
Because I have a full-time job - and family - I am only able to create a handful of wedding cakes each year. Almost all of the cakes I create are by referral, but not always. If you're interested in a cake by That Takes The Cake!, please click here to get in touch with me. If the date works out, I'll be happy to work with you.
